Special Church Conference Results
The "Time to Build a Church for Everyone" proposal presented by the Study Team on Sunday, February 18 passed with NO dissenting votes!!! About 58-60 persons attended. Michael Chaffin, our District Superintendent conducted the voting process, once the presentation and discussion concluded. The Church Conference last about 1 1/2 hours. Extra handouts are available in the foyer.
According to the District Superintendent, we are authorized to begin financial efforts, but not building efforts until the proposal is presented to the District Board for approval. That will happen once someone's wedding and honeymoon stuff is over!!!!!!!!!
To be clear, one proposal passed that contains 3 major items

The effort will be financed by an in-house building campaign on a pray as we go, pay as we go, build as we go basis. As funds are collected, 20% will be used as a prepayment to the existing loan, thus reducing the principal and the interest owed.
Each step of the way will be presented to the Trustees and on to the Administrative Council for approval. The entire church will be involved all along the way. Communication will be of utmost importance so everyone can keep track of the progress.
